Landscaping Maintenance Guide for Massachusetts Homes

A simple month-by-month approach helps your lawn, beds, hardscape, and irrigation hold up through Massachusetts seasons. Here are the tips we share with our own clients.

Re-sand paver joints when needed

If you see joints washing out or weeds creeping in, it's time to refresh polymeric sand. It locks pavers together and keeps weeds and ants out.

Keep drainage clear

Leaves and debris on patios and around walls can hold moisture and clog drainage. A seasonal sweep makes a real difference.

Watch for shifting or settling early

Small shifts are normal but easy to fix early. A pro can lift a few pavers, re-set the base, and reinstall, much cheaper than waiting until the whole section moves.

Address moss and stains promptly

Organic stains and moss are easier to handle when they first appear. Gentle cleaning protects the surface and keeps the look crisp.

Inspect retaining walls each season

Look for bowing, leaning, or water pushing through. Catching a drainage problem early protects the wall investment.
